What's Wrong with J. K. Rowling?

 (Warning: Rants ahead)

Alright, I'm writing this as an OG Harry Potter fan, a Gryffindor, and as a someone who desperately wants to relive his own childhood reading the books and watching those movies. For the most of my life, Harry Potter took me into a magical world of magic and miracles and witnessed the struggle of The Boy Who Lived as he navigated his life as a student at Hogwarts. Hell, I might have been fantasizing myself waiting for that letter to come, as well as me being the all-powerful wizard and some. All thanks to one woman known as Joanne Rowling, or J. K. Rowling. The woman is a trailblazer, capable of captivating readers young and old, and as such, manages to pull them into this fantasy world we all come to know and love.

From the moment she put her pen down to draft the initial story until present day, the Harry Potter series remains as Rowling's magnum opus when it comes to popular culture. From what appears to be a fantasy story about a boy who discovered his magical talents quickly evolved into one if not the biggest franchises the world has ever seen. Hell, The Wizarding World (then known as Pottermore), the in-universe site created by Rowling herself, is still active to this day. I can still vividly recall every moment in either the books or the movies that can still resonate with me years later. I can name almost every character, friend or foe, and the facts surrounding them (note: Dolores Jane Umbridge remains as the most hated character in the franchise, not even Voldemort can surpass her). Everyone is invested in this franchise, even A-List celebrities. And this didn't come easy for her either. She had to endure domestic abuse from her ex-husband, even went so far as to file for a restraining order. Since then, she juggled her life writing the books and being a single parent to her daughter. Luckily, she now lives a happy life remarried and blessed with two more kids. And with that, I have nothing but respect and admiration for her.

But nowadays, Jo Rowling is mostly known for her rather controversial (read: sensible) comments around several topics, and most of them are quite sensitive. But the most notable one is her views on gender and the LGBT issues. Just to deviate from the main focus for a bit, I was quite shellshocked about Rowling's revelation that the Headmaster of Hogwarts Albus Dumbledore was a gay man, that aspect further explored in the two prequel movies from the Fantastic Beasts series, titled The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore. Although I am mostly neutral, but to silently inserting this character aspect into a literature aimed mostly to children is uncalled for. But on recent times, Rowling found herself against the LGBT progressive agenda. It all began in 2018, just because of a tweet she liked that said, "transgender women are men in dresses." Instead of apologizing and bend the knee for the woke mob, this badass woman doubled down on her remarks. One time, she mercilessly mocked an article by Devex called Opinion: Creating a More Equal Post-COVID-19 World for People Who Menstruate by tweeting this gem which says: "‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?" And this is coming from a self-identified feminist too.

This then opened the storm of hate towards Rowling, even some of the actors who played in the movie came forward to criticize her. As of now, the woke mob branded her as the head of TERF, an acronym for "Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists" and has since shunned from the elite. Several names then came for her support, like fellow Potter alumni Ralph Fiennes, a. k. a. Lord Voldemort himself, to legendary comedian Dave Chappelle, who briefly discussed this on his comedy special The Closer. During the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Special, she was excluded from the main feature, and only replaced by archival footages, supposedly to disassociate the franchise from the woman who created it. As the time of writing, a new controversy rises in the form of Hogwarts Legacy, which is a role-playing video game for next-gen consoles and PC which takes place during the 1890s, during the reign of Phineas Nigellus Black as headmaster. For crying out loud, the game has not even released yet, but the woke "activists" (I just call them inconsequential hacks with too much free time) have already started a smear campaign by various boycotts and false user-tagging. If it's up to her, she could kill off the franchise herself singlehandedly by writing a new story in which the ending features Harry's death in gruesome fashion and the destruction of Hogwarts (I hope this never happens).

But here is the rebuttal: The woke agenda is basically the only thing that runs the world these days. Science are being disproven in favor of someone's personal feelings, languages being massacred all because of someone's boneheaded insistences to use plural pronouns to refer an individual who feels beyond the gender binary, and big corporations benefiting themselves by pandering to these privileged groups. Statements like what Jo Rowling said over the past year or two used to be the norm, the mutual understanding of the masses. Now, it's nothing but hateful, transphobic, homophobic, and racist remarks that a TERF would spew, and must be cancelled. What she did is only stating the basic, scientifically proven fact that those who are capable of bringing a life to the world by the form of childbirth is not to be called "a pregnant person" or "people who menstruate". Let's just call them as it is: women. Yes. Transgenders do exist, and they deserve a better life, but let's look at the most fundamental differences: Trans women are not capable of childbirth, and trans men are significantly weaker physically than biological men.

And to close this piece, let's answer Matt Walsh's legendary question: What is a woman? A woman in my few is someone who has the capability of childbirth, known for her empath, tender, love and care. A woman is someone who carries two X chromosomes inside her DNA. A woman is a female human being known for her femininity traits. And lastly, a woman is the creature of God who are willing to put her life in danger to raise us, nurture us, and guide us in this world. For all women out there, your voices matter. Don't let the woke mob silence you. They are only using real women's voice for their own benefit. And for that reason, I consider Joanne Kathleen Rowling to be the most badass woman the world has ever seen.

The Christmas Truce: A Day when Humanity Won

"We are all, we are all, we are all

We are all friends!

And today we are brothers, tonight we are friends

A moment of peace in a war that never ends

Today we are brothers, we drink and unite

Now Christmas has arrived, and the snow turns the ground white"

-"Christmas Truce" performed by Sabaton, 2021

In this momentous time, two weeks away from Christmas as per time of writing, I am following up on the story about moments in world wars where humanity is deemed intact in the midst of hell created by the fighting and violence. In the previous instalment, I talked about two pilots from the opposite sides who ended up befriended each other after the war was over. This time around, I'm going to explore a bigger event, one that is still celebrated as part of the memorials to the lives lost during the first world war, and it actually happened during Christmas.

By this point, we all know in what war this event took place in. The first world war erupted as a result of many diplomatic tensions after an assassination job that cost the Austro-Hungarian Empire their heir to the throne. After months of repeated diplomatic events to defuse the situation, war is eventually inevitable, and countries soon mobilize their forces across all fronts. The war itself was fought mainly at the Western Front and the Eastern Front.

But towards the end of 1914, stalemates had occurred all because of the trench warfare, a fairly new system at the time. Soldiers would dig up pits that can stretch up to several kilometers, and that was their place to sleep and eat. Soldiers come and go, those who fought the initial battles over the summer were mostly dead, heavily, or moderately wounded, or imprisoned, and at this point, countries rely on conscripted men in order to keep up with ever changing condition. These young boys practically knew nothing about the situation that they signed up for, as they must deal with hostile condition, enemy fire, and diseases and pandemics (the Spanish flu pandemic took place around the time of the first world war).

Granted, the morale among the soldiers were at all-time low, as they realize the severity of the situation that they must deal with on a day-to-day basis. During this time, death doesn't even come in the form of an enemy barrage, but it can also come from cold temperatures, lice infestations, and other diseases. It was also noted that minor truces began to form all over no man's land. The so called "gentlemen's code" is basically a live and let live scenario, or nowadays called the "rules of engagement", which implicitly states that you must not engage unless you are being engaged upon. Such agreement was used by troops on either side to repair their equipment and bury their fallen comrade. This can also expand to codes that would alert the other side of an upcoming bombardment. Shots and grenades were deliberately fired off to the sides, and sometime, several troops would emerge out of the trenches unarmed with their hands above their head.

The date was 24th of December 1914, it was a relatively busy day at the Western Front, where the German army, as part of the Central powers squared off against the allied forces, which consists of mostly French and British soldier. At the same time, Christmas presents started to arrive, mostly letters from home and some sweets, beverages, and cigars. But it was the event on Christmas Eve that would kickstart the truce itself. During the day, some troops were reportedly passing each other with no intention to harm, but instead involved in short conversations. Some high-ranking officers on either side even discussed a possible Christmas day ceasefire. The readers of the Christian faith must be familiar with some Christmas songs like O Holy Night or Silent Night. The latter was actually sung by the Germans in their native tongue, Stille Nacht (Side note, Stille Nacht is actually originated from Germany). This prompted the curious Allied Soldiers to inspect the other side of no man's land. Soon after, a friendly sing-off erupted between two sides, with each trench dressed to the occasion with small Christmas trees.

Then as dawn broke on the 25th of December, instead of barrage of bullets, it was silence, a deafening silence. Some brave souls eventually started to emerge from the trenches, some of them unarmed, some still carrying weapons. Furthermore, they were banned from activities that would insinuate a clear intention of harm, like erecting barbed wires, repair their trenches, or even worse, calling out a strike. At first, small talks were occurred, but it soon evolved to full blown Christmas parties and sing-offs, involving soldiers exchanging gifts, sweets, cigarettes, and even booze. And don't forget the Christmas masses and funeral processions for their fallen friends.

You might be wondering, why this event is etched as the most memorable humane moments during the first world war, and the answer is the Christmas Truce Football Match. Some accounts detailed a football match of some sort breaking out along the lines, with most of them stated that the Brits initiated those games with a normal kickabout. Soon, stretchers normally used to carry wounded men were transformed into goalposts, and a football match began between England against Germany, played in No man's land Arena. One account stated that in that game, they lost to the Germans by 3 goals to 2.

Of course, in the midst of the joy, there are some detractors that refused to take part in the truce and chose to remain inside their trenches. Some officers, like a certain future dictator reported this event to the higher-ups, claiming that fraternization between enemies is considered as an act of treason. And as the news traveled through the chain of command, Commanders on both sides quickly establish a new law that would discourage soldiers from forming future truces. And from then on, from gas warfare, America's eventual involvement in the war, all the way to the treaty of Versailles, there was only one Christmas Truce, and it was happened on the Western Front on 24 to 25 December 1914. And let me tell you, even as the news outlets at the time moved as fast as they could to censor the news, the story of the Christmas Truce remains as one of those moments in history, where humanity prevails, even just for one day in the midst of extreme inhumanity.

When I first wrote about Charlie Brown and Franz Stigler, this is the other story that I was referring when I said that I would keep the other story until the appropriate time arrived. I am not a Christian, but irrespective of religion, there must be unity and no division, peace instead of war, and harmony instead of chaos. We remember those who fought for their countries, especially those who participated in this truce.

"A Christmas on the frontline, we walk among our friends

We don't think about tomorrow, the battle will commence

When we celebrated Christmas, we thought about our friends

Those who never made it home when the battle had commenced"

BreadTube: The Cesspool of Woke Propaganda

(Warning: Strong languages and rants ahead)

Goodness gracious, forgive me for I have sinned, My Good Lord above. This piece is about as cringeworthy as it is nauseating. I can easily say that everyone who engages in far-left, ultra-socialism, borderline communism deserves to be tossed off a cliff into a shark-infested ocean. There, I fucking said it. As someone whose country was almost hijacked by the communist ideology, I can safely say that this ideology, with everything surrounding it, is demented.

But fuck me dead, the Internet has plethora of far-left discourses, opinions, even ideologies circulating in every corner, and this is also the case with YouTube. Granted, videos came and went in this platform, and for most of the time, everyone can speak up their mind, but there is one dark corner of the very far-left side of YouTube, where content creators gather up in a party of far-left propaganda enhanced by the algorithm to bring forth their communist-infused rules and at the same time, positioning themselves as the "thought police". This corner of YouTube is known as "BreadTube". I don't know about you who are reading this, but I think that is a pretty lame word to be used as a name. But there is a reason why this lame movement is named as such. The name derived itself from a book by Peter Kropotkin titled The Conquest of Bread, a book described by Kropotkin himself as an "anarcho-socialist book", since he himself is a self-described anarchist. There is a dispute of the origins of this movement, but there is arguably a starting point where the left-wing creators started their channels in opposition to anti-SJW ones that gained traction in mid-2010s. It is often used as a comedic alternative to the less-known term "LeftTube". Content creators under the banner of BreadTube usually posts video essays or vlogs talking about the hottest issues and discourses, but presented them through the far-left lenses, from liberalism, socialism, and even anarchism. There is a bit of a competition between the left-wing YouTube and the right-wing ones, both are extremely political, both are said to be complete opposite of each other, and both sides are equally influential. If the conservative side have The Daily Wire, then the liberal side have Natalie Wynn, also known as ContraPoints.

These types of contents, as you would expect, are skewed according to their political compass, some of them to the extreme. Take Ian Kochinski, or Vaush, as people know him online. He's one of the more prominent BreadTuber who holds many controversial stances, including stances on sexual relationships. Here's what grinds my gears about this neckbearded cocksucker: He holds the stance that sexual relationships towards minors should be legalized, even the circulation of child pornography should also be allowed, with the basis of today's society are using hardware devices or clothes manufactured by child workers. He is not above throwing insults and baseless allegations to get his point across either. During his feud with Isaac Butterfield (my favorite Australian comedian. Check out his channel if you have some spare time), Vaush implied that "Australianism is a disease", supposedly a backhanded joke about Butterfield's national identity as a proud Aussie. He also insinuated that by looking at the way Isaac presented himself in front of the camera, the comedian is also (allegedly) a child groomer. And then there is Noah Samsen, who also called out Butterfield's "fatphobic" tendencies, which not only falls on deaf ears, the bearded legend proceeded to tear him a new one while also affirming the stance that modern body positivity movement is nothing more than a glorification of morbid obesity, despite the efforts put forth by these alleged Kim Jong-un's ass sniffers. More recent shithousery by the leftist jackasses on this platform was by Ethan Klein, on his podcast H3H3 Productions, who mocked and attacked the recently Muslim-revert Andrew Tate (Thank Almighty God for that). In response, the man known as either the Top G or the most censored man in the world fires back at Klein's form who, compared to Tate, being a champion kickboxer, is more like a bag full of fat.

I don't really understand anymore at this point. They claimed themselves to be anti-racism and anti-xenophobic, but based on those two above, I sense nothing but hypocrisy. Others are expert in manipulating words to make them sound like they are the smartest people in the room. Mr. Beard used this tactic while supposedly "destroyed" Butterfield while also calling out his "apparent" misogyny. There is no shortage of insults either; his video title outright attacks Butterfield by calling him "Australia's dumbest comedian." And low and behold, the man Isaac referred to as Ralph Wiggum (from The Simpsons) proceeded to mock him by poorly copying (or should I say appropriating) his Australian accent. Other times involving cutting out some parts of their target's content in order to manipulate the audience that what their targets are saying is inflammatory and racist, and not giving enough time to explain in what context those statements are made for. And thanks to these types of videos, I am enlightened on how shit the woke movement is, on how demented those people who claimed to be tolerant, and those who claimed to be against the establishment, but in reality, that same group of people are turned out to be corporate ass lickers.

BreadTubers, as it turns out, are heavily involved in the modern progressive movements, it means, in every progressive echo chamber, BreadTubers exists inside every single one of them. people like Vaush, Samsen, Mr Beard, and even Xanderhal are basing everything according to the US political dichotomy. Just recently, the backlash in the back of the new The Little Mermaid trailer posted by Disney by both fans and critics alike, for the reinterpretation of Ariel the Little Mermaid, who instead being played by an actress of color. Although never specified, the past interpretations of this character have always been white girl with a red hair. BreadTubers argued that the backlash in question is amplified by "racist trolls" and "conservative influencers". These are their go to trigger words in order to pull the Internet mob to side with them. Ironically, consider today's discourse climate, it's them along with others with similar views are actually racists themselves, exhibited by them favoring more about Persons of Color and LGBT movement. Hell, nowadays people are judged by their skin color, sexual orientation, and their body size (don't forget the fatties here). Those who are born either black, a woman (according to them, obviously), trans, nonbinary, have larger than life bodies or the combination of all those things are celebrated just because of their treats alone, not for academic, sporting, or other achievements. Those who were born white, a man, cisgender, and fit or slim are vilified because, again, according to these guys, they were born privileged. They wanted to be presented as an ally to the political left with a seriously twisted ulterior motives. Let's look at Vaush again, who confessed himself to align with the feminist movement so he can sleep with as many women as he wants.

In the end, BreadTube is nothing more than acid pool of woke moralism, with the extra sprinkle of Marxism, Socialism, Anarchism and all the things associated with far-left liberalism. They are ready to attack anyone who isn't in line with their demented opinions by bullying them systematically to the corner until their targets caved in and join their side. What used to be a healthy discussion between differing opinions has now turned into a hellscape of censorship and pseudo-moralism. Seriously, go jump off a cliff.

2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar: The Most Politically Charged World Cup in History

(Warning: Strong languages ahead)

As I'm writing this, we are only 5 days away from arguably the biggest sporting event in the entire world, the FIFA World Cup. For this year's edition, we will travel to the Middle Eastern nation of Qatar, the third ever country from the Continental Asia to host the tournament (the 2002 edition featured Japan and South Korea as co-hosts), and the first host hailing from the Arab nations. I'm all for football and party, but this year, we're not even kicking off yet, there are already concerns about the host nation in particular, on how some of their stances left a sour taste for other countries.

The World Cup is the highest international tournament sanctioned by FIFA (Federation of International Football Association) first held in 1930 with Uruguay acting as the host country, with qualification phases typically began roughly two years after the final match of the previous edition. Since 2002, Each edition features 32 nations competing for football supremacy, although the number are set to increase to 48 when the tournament reopens in 2026, which for the first time ever, hosted together by three countries, being the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Statistically, this world cup is the first for the host nation of Qatar, becoming the first team to host the final tournament without participating in previous edition. This is also the first world cup ever to be hosted by a member country of the Arab League. The last time a world cup was hosted in countries other than Europe, or the Americas was in 2010 by South Africa, the first and only African nation to host the tournament so far. Defending champions, on the other hand, are not exempted from the qualification process. Case in point, the 2018 defending title holders France had to fight their way to a spot in Qatar by placing 1st in their UEFA zone qualification group. There are teams that finally broke their world cup drought, notably Canada and Wales, last qualified in 1986 and 1958 respectively. Italy became the rare case where multiple time winners missed out on two successive tournaments, previously crashed out from Russia 2018. This year, Russia was barred from participating as a result of the ongoing invasion to Ukraine. Prior to this ruling, Russian athletes were banned to enter any competition as Russian representative; they must compete as a neutral athlete or representing their confederations as a sanction for violating the World Anti-Doping Policy. And due to the geographical size of the country, this edition become one such instance in recent history where the venues hosting the matches are less than 10 sites, where there are only 8 stadiums across 5 host cities of Doha, Al Khor, Lusail, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah. The first ever tournament in 1930 hosted by Uruguay only featured 3 stadiums in Montevideo, while the most venues across the tournament so far held by Korea-Japan edition in 2002, featuring the massive 20 stadiums across 20 cities between two countries. For the record, 32 teams from across the world are throwing their hats to the ring to become the single best football team in the world, a bragging right everyone is dreaming of.

But the 2022 world cup is not without its fair share of controversy. First off, the schedule. Since its inception in 1930, the biggest international football tournament always takes place in the middle of the year, following the conclusion of the European football season. That was the case back in 2010 in South Africa, 2014 in Brazil, and the recent one in Russia just over 4 years ago. But since Qatar is basically a desert country, with soaring heat that could reach as high as 40-50°C, the tournament was pushed towards the end of the year, with opening night on 20 November 2022 between Qatar VS Ecuador in Al Khor, and the final on 18 December 2022 in Lusail. This created a hell of a nightmare scenario for European based players and teams, as this tournament fells exactly during the middle of the season and pushing almost towards Christmas. As a result, the tournament was crammed from 30 days to just 28. This tournament then is in jeopardy of being overshadowed due to the nature of the tight schedule, as well as balancing world cup football with the ongoing season of club football, with majority of the leagues are only halfway into their respective seasons.

The second, and probably most prevalent, is the Qatari government's stance on LGBT issues. As like many other countries in the Arab world, Qatari laws are heavily based on the Islamic sharia law, which means, any forms of homosexuality or any other alternate sexualities are heavily frowned upon at the very least. It's pretty obvious that homosexuality is considered haram not just in Qatar, but in every country in the Arab world, or even countries which have a substantial Muslim population. Hell, it is actually illegal to exhibit LGBT behavior in Qatari public space, and if Muslims are convicted of homosexuality in Qatar, then death penalty awaits. As a fellow Muslim, I have to say that the decision regarding the laws is up to the government of the host nation, but I guess what the Qatari ambassador for the world cup, Khalid Salman said about respecting the country's laws are spot on. The West are notorious for forcing their rhetoric on other countries, even if same discourse is not in line with the country's way of life. Hell, some teams are planning to wear a rainbow armband for "solidarity" to the community. Hell, there are news that The USA has revealed an alternate version of the team crest, which replaces the red stripes for the rainbow ones, depicting the LGBT Progressive movement. Other grievances are the limitations of alcohol consumptions in public spaces. It has been quite a staple of every world cup that every supporter of every team drinks quite large amount of booze. Countries like Germany and The Netherlands are known as the haven of alcoholic beverages, most notably beer. France is also in the liquor market, although there is a law that prohibits the advertisement of other liquor products like beers. As like many other Muslim countries, alcohol is also practically prohibited per the sharia law. When it comes to the backlash surrounding the gay issues, I say fuck this shit, and just play some soccer, you brain-dead fucks.

The last thing is the working environment en route to the tournament. For the last three years, Qatar has come under fire for alleged slavery, especially during stadium constructions. Allegations included unpaid work, forced labors, unsafe work environment, even withholding their legal documents such as passports and other legal papers. As a result, backlash ensued in light of this revelation. Many of those workers as it turned out, are foreign workers from places like India and Nepal.

But on the bright side, this world cup features extensive technologies, either for the stadium or devices designed to help the match officials in the event of a foul or an incident. The 2022 edition will be only the second edition to feature the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), having been used in the 2018 edition, which produces iconic moments like the one at the 2018 final, when Antoine Griezmann of France scored a tide-shifting penalty in the wake of Croatian Ivan Perisic's handball which was reviewed by VAR. This extra set of match officials are used to review certain scenarios that otherwise would be missed by the on-pitch officials, like offside lines, fouls, mistaken identity, and other fouls that could potentially disallows a goal being scored. During its first introduction, football was the latest sport to utilize video referee of some sort in international tournaments. Other sporting events like the Rugby World Cup has used this system (dubbed the Television Match Official, or TMO) since 2011. Previous technologies used are the goal-line technology, first utilized in Brazil 2014 in the back of the controversy surrounding Frank Lampard's ghost goal against Germany in 2010, which ended up being disallowed. This edition will mark the first usage of the Semi-Automatic Offside Technology (SAOT) designed to assist assistant referees to judge whether a player is caught offside. Both of these technologies involving several cameras placed in strategic locations and several sensors planted inside the match ball. Speaking of the ball, Adidas' new match ball, named Al Rihla (which means "The Journey") has several new technologies like the Speedshell panels designed to improve accuracy by enhancing aerodynamics of the ball itself. The other is what is dubbed as CRT-CORE, which provides speed, accuracy and consistency with fast-paced action and precision.

But the most notable ones being the stadiums themselves. As we all know, Qatar's desert climate means high air temperatures. This is mitigated by installing cooling vents inside every stadium used for the matches. Some stadiums even have retractable roofs to control the climate inside the stadium, reducing the excessive usage of coolant and water used for the cooling system. Other means of technological advancements is the usage of sustainable energy to power the stadiums, this being solar energy. Hell, one stadium in particular, Stadium 974 in Ras Abu Daoud, Doha is the first and so far, the only temporary venue used in FIFA World Cup history, being made from various shipping containers. It was first used at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup and would be dismantled after the tournament closed its curtains.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar then, is the world cup edition like no other. From the tournament schedule, and all the politics involved behind the scene, this edition of the biggest international football tournament is shaping up to be the most memorable edition in history, all for the reasons people least expected. With all that being said, when Qatar 2022 opens its doors, we will be treated with spectacular football, nonstop action, and memorable scenes from the football pitch. Regardless of what the media said, this world cup is going to be the epitome of world football. Let's enjoy the world cup, and let the good times roll.

Fritz Haber: Sinner or a Saint?

 (Warning: Graphic description ahead)

"Haber-Bosch, the great alliance

Where’s the contradiction?

Fed the world by ways of science

Sinner or a saint?"

-"Father" performed by Sabaton, 2022

It has been said that every human that ever lived has two sides of themselves. One is for public consumption to be explored and analyzed, the other is reserved for themselves, far away from the preying eyes of the masses. But never in history has a man is known both as a saving grace of humanity, and a cold-blooded monster responsible for millions of lives lost during a conflict. And as the words above have stated, he can be viewed either as a sinner or a saint.

Since the end of the Renaissance era, scientific breakthroughs have been used to the advantage of mankind, agriculture is one of them. Two German scientists instantly came up to mind when it comes to this, thanks to the Haber-Bosch process. As the name suggests, one of the responsible scientists was the man named Fritz Haber. The Breslau, Prussia (present day WrocĹ‚aw, Poland) native was born into a well-off Jewish family on the 9th of December 1868. Upon young Fritz being brought into the world, he lost his mother exactly three weeks after childbirth; his parents are first cousins as well. As a result, Fritz never experienced paternal love from his own dad, and consequently grew close to his stepmother and his three stepsisters. Despite his family's deep religious background, that of Judaism, The Haber family are fully assimilated to the German society; Fritz himself even identified more as German than a Jewish.

The young Fritz Haber was always interested in chemistry, so much so, his father eventually sent him to Berlin to attend Humboldt University. Felling dissatisfied with his winter semester, he switched to Heidelberg University for his summer semester, and eventually earned his degree from the Technical University of Berlin. But this is also costing his familial relationship with his father, whom, after working together, decided that he and his son were not suited to work together. Siegfried Haber even noted that Fritz never belonged to the business world.

Eventually, Haber began his academic career at the University of Jena, working as an assistant to fellow chemist Ludwig Knorr. His tenure with Knorr ended up beneficial to Haber's career down the line, as he was recommended by Knorr to Carl Engler of the University of Karlsruhe. From Engler, came Hans Bunte, who advised Haber to study hydrocarbons as part of his thesis. There are many areas of chemistry that involved Haber over the years, but it was his collaboration study with Carl Bosch, about the use of ammonia and its role as synthetic fertilizers that made his name a legend among chemists, even earning him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1918. The process, known as the Haber-Bosch process, sought to convert ammonia and from the catalyst process were to be used as fertilizers. Their reasoning being the speed of the crops to grow were too slow, whilst population kept on increasing.

But with this man, there was a dichotomy. During his lifetime, World War 1 erupted as a result of several diplomatic tensions in the back of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Haber, along with 92 other German intellectuals, formed the Manifesto of the Ninety-Threeto support the German Empire's war efforts. And low and behold, Haber's work on ammonia was weaponized as chlorine gas to be used by German troops on the Western Front. He actually helped develop the non-ballistic use of chemical warfare, a fairly new technology at the time. It was first deployed on the Second Battle of Ypres, fought on 22 April to 25 May 1915 against the French. It was also this type of weapon responsible for the grisliest battle in the history of the first world war, the Osowiec Fortress Offensive, otherwise known as "The Attack of the Dead Men", where heavily gassed Russian soldiers managed to deal a heavy blow to the German army despite their near-death condition, with bloody rags, pieces of damaged lung being spit out, and damaged skin and other soft tissues.

Granted, the use of Haber's gas weapons was heavily criticized when he was announced as the recipient of the Nobel Prize, citing his involvement during prior war. Hell, one of the critics was his own friend Albert Einstein. And this is not limited to his academic career either. Haber was married twice, first to Clara Immerwahr and had a son, Hermann, and to Charlotte Nathan, fathering two more children, a daughter, and a son. His first marriage with Clara also full of turbulence. Clara Haber was known as a pacifist and opposed his involvement in the war. She committed suicide by shooting her won heart with a revolver after a nasty argument with Fritz. His second marriage with Charlotte didn't end well either, although there was no blood spilled from either party.

During the last years of his life, with the rise of the National Socialist Movement (subsequently known as the Nazi Party), Haber traveled extensively, having spent his time briefly in France, Spain, and Switzerland. Fritz Haber died in Basel, Switzerland on 29 January 1934 at the age of 65, after his health failing significantly over the last two years of his life due to angina attacks, which is a common symptom of coronary heart disease. Per his last wishes, Fritz Haber's remains were cremated and reunited with his first wife's ashes and buried at Hörnli Cemetery in Basel 29 September 1934.

Fritz Haber's tale is like two sides of the same coin, each with its own dichotomy. On one side, he was a hero of the chemistry and agricultural world, responsible for the creation of synthetic fertilizers used to grow crops, and subsequently fed the entire world. But on the other side, Fritz Haber was a monster capable of evil by developing the same creation, but as a devastating weapon used by the Germans during the Great War. He was, and always be the most polarizing figure ever lived, and normally, I want nothing to do with this man, but the story is so fascinating, I can't help but to dissect this man. Even if it means uncovering more of his heinous underbelly beyond his legacy as the one who fed the world.

"Father of toxic gas, and chemical warfare

His dark creation has been revealed

Flow over no man's land, a poisonous nightmare

A deadly mist on the battlefield!"

"During times when there's peace he belonged to the world

During times when there's war he belonged to his place of birth."

Dylan Mulvaney: The Epitome of Mockery

(Warning: Strong language, sex and body shaming jokes, and rants ahead)

Oh, God. I don't know what in the world is going on anymore. Between my current activities as a magistrate student and my researching activities, the world keeps on evolving with new ideas and discourses. But unfortunately, the evolution in question, instead of going forward, it would only go backwards. At this stage, we all are in course to become the society of simple minds and propaganda, as depicted in the 2006 movie Idiocracy. But what set this world and Idiocracy apart, unfortunately, is the level of stupidity the society had showed over the years. In the movie, despite most of the population is literally illiterate, they are not as bad as today society, not with those left-wing discourse and narratives being pushed into the masses every single day and working hour. And this is not limited to gender issues. I touched this issue some weeks ago while discussing the Muslim community's pushback against LGBTQ books being made available to kids as young as a grade schooler, and for this piece, we will dive into the life of a man who is deluded enough to think that he is actually a girl.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Dylan Mulvaney. he was born in San Diego, California, USA on the 29th of December 1996, and was raised as a Christian. There is no further information regarding his upbringing, family member, or even a spouse, that is, accounting the fact that he rarely disclose his relationship status. But there is some info on his educational history, where he attended the University of Cincinnati-Conservatory of Music and earning a BFA in musical theatre. Many would recognize him as a theatrical actor in his heydays, but not until his TikTok days people would discover him.

It all started when he first uploaded his "Days of Girlhood" video, where he detailed that he has been crying three times, wrote an email that he didn't send, ordered some dresses that he couldn't afford, and whether he's been asked on how he was feeling, his answer was "I'm fine." For fuck's sake man, you are creepier than Jeffrey Dahmer, or Jimmy Savile in that matter. He first identified himself as "nonbinary" prior to this stunt, which is a tell-tale sign that someone is a total idiot beyond salvation. This walking twig with a wig and a meat pole then started this series on TikTok, complete with an exaggerated stereotypical behavior of a high school girl with a princess syndrome. He even carries tampons and other feminine hygiene products, when in fact, his biological built is basically comprised of a penis and two testicles. Seriously, if this is the direction that our society is heading, we will be driving straight off a cliff. In fact, this is so out of control, another transgender celebrity, Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner) criticize Mulvaney when one of his "day of girlhood" videos posted by him detailed Mulvaney's effort to "normalize the bulge" on women. First of all, you stupid cunt, women don't have a bulge, men do. And for you to casually say that to be normalize among other biological women is disgusting. Hilarity ensues when several conservative commentators take jabs at this beef, and especially Mulvaney's content as a whole, particularly Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan. Walsh in particular, fresh off his critically acclaimed documentary appropriately titled What is a Woman? pointed out Jenner's response on that video, stating that he (Mulvaney) should not normalize any of the dumpster fire he's spewing, and that he has a penis himself. The Jewish legend that is Ben pointed out Mulvaney's visit to President Joe Biden, and their conversation about trans rights issues (what they mean is medical and chemical castration of kids). Several weeks before the beef with Jenner, Mulvaney appeared in a video of an episode of The Reality Of... by Ulta Beauty, discussing his vulnerabilities and his desires of womanhood, which is biologically impossible for him since HE WAS BORN AND RAISED A FUCKING MAN. I guess what Michael Knowles said about him is right on the money. He needs a priest, and he needs a fucking exorcism. Hell, I would gladly stand in front of him, reciting the Quran until he gives up on his delusions, and I'm going to need Andrew Tate's help to shape him into a Top G.

Again, the way this world works right now is nothing short of an irony. If someone has a differing position on critical issues, they are instantly de-platformed, cancelled, and sent into the abyss of obscurity, and if someone is in line with the woke agenda, they will be praised and regarded as an icon. Honestly, watching all these TikTok videos makes me feel appalled. We all know that men and women are not the same. women are more of an empath; men are more rigid. Men are physically taller, bigger, stronger, and faster. Women are more caring, gentle, and more agile. And guys like Dylan Mulvaney and Jeffrey Marsh (another "nonbinary" idiot) served as a harrowing warning to us about the importance of instilling your kids with the correct values and norms, and to guide them as they navigate themselves into this world full of deceptions and propaganda. And if anything, they should not be drenched in admiration, it should be straight to the asylum on a strait jacket, and a kick in the nuts for good measure. And as I finish this piece, I need to lock myself up for the sake of my mental well-being after watching those videos. And to close this, borrowing a quote from an Australian comedy legend, Dylan Mulvaney, fuck you to the moon.

Elon Musk and Twitter: The Turning Point

Free speech is arguably the most important part for a functioning society to run itself. It is the premise where everyone is welcome to share their ideas and discourse on some of the world's hottest issues. And as such, the suppression of free speech is regarded as a violation of human rights. In today's world, free speech is now being contested by some who consider themselves as the "most tolerant" groups on earth, but in reality, they are some of the most hateful groups of people I've ever seen. It seems like free speech, at least according to these guys, is valid when the opinions are in line with their narrative, and if someone dared to go against the flow, they will be instantly suppressed.

For the last two years, free speech on the Internet is a hot topic to discuss, particularly on some social media platforms. This is the case of Twitter, one such company that for the last two years since the 2020 US General Election, has been the haven of the woke left, alongside TikTok. Whenever you open these two apps, there is always some "nonbinary" person trying to force their ideology to kids by circulating sexually explicit books and inviting drag queens to "family friendly" shows to outright spew hatred and division to anyone who just wanted to live peacefully, all in the name of social justice. Virtue signaling is everywhere in this platform. From celebrities, athletes, even political figures are competing on who is the most woke of the woke mob, and sometimes, things imploded on them.

This issue them prompted one particular billionaire, South African American (yeah, it's safe to say that he is African American at this point) Elon Musk to state his intentions to acquire the social media tech giant, after he witnessed what a dumpster fire it has become. Prior to his purchase, Musk owns Tesla and SpaceX, one is an electric car company, the other is more like a space agency. At first, when Musk submitted his bid for US$ 44 Billion (IDR 690 trillion as of 7th of November), the forces at Twitter actively fought against the bid, even submitting the list of demands that Elon himself must follow in the event of the acquisition. The buyout saga even reached the courts after Elon suspended his bid after Twitter executives failed to provide him the exact data of their users worldwide, which included bot accounts. After the legal debacle, the buyout finally came to fruition roughly 2 weeks ago, when Musk tweeted "let that sink in" while posting a video of him carrying a literal kitchen sink into Twitter HQ.

And straightaway, he sprang into action by firing top Twitter executives, those who responsible of censoring differing opinions, notably The New York Post's coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, even permanently banned a former US president. Those three were CEO Parag Agarawal, CFO Ned Segal, and chief content moderator Vijaya Gadde. So far, he already made changes on content moderation while ensuring that Twitter won't become a "free-for-all hellscape". Predictably, the woke left lost their marbles after learning this, and Elon's plan to slash the workforce to about 75% of them. As of now, the mass layoffs are currently ongoing inside Twitter HQ, with the employees finding out their fates by email, or by their computers being remotely wiped clean. Musk's changes to the platform including the total overhaul of the platform's premium services, a. k. a. Twitter Blue, which gives their users a "blue check mark" as verification marks for public figures. The way this thing works under Elon's ownership is now a subscription plan costing US$ 8 (IDR 125.000) per month. This is also the source of grief among the left-wing users, most notably US congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. The woman known by her initials AOC argued that Musk's idea of free speech is only a monthly subscription, in which Elon replied with the absolute gold "Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8."

And the timing of the acquisition cannot be more perfect. As of this writing, the US is gearing up for the Midterm Elections, which will decide the control over the House of Representatives and the Senate for the next two years. For context, senate, congressional and several gubernatorial elections are held every two years, and the presidential elections held every four years. In this case, the presidential seat will be contested in 2024. Already there are some fact checking done by the platform, which now mostly consist of left-wing media, including the White House.

I guess what transpired over these past weeks has opened our eyes of the importance of free speech, not just for one group of people, but for everyone who has the right of speaking whatever they want to speak. Granted, there always be consequences for what they are talking about, but in this stage, that's besides the point. Free speech, whether we like it or not is important for a healthy society to function, and without free speech, all we ended up with is a dystopian world where censorship is rampant, everything is controlled, and people dying left and right just because of a twisted tongue. Let everyone speak freely, whether in person or on the Internet.
